My bedroom. Piece by piece. Things I already have, things I've bought, things on the 'to do' list - can you guess which of anna's wallpapers I am using?....I thought I would have the lounge room done before the bedroom, but not so. What do you think? eeekkks, it looks awesome in my head, hoping for the same greatness 'in the flesh'..... x

I'm lucky enough to have some great getaways planned over the next six months - from a long weekend at the river to celebrate my dad's 60th with the extended family, up to Hamilton Island for Audi Race Week (if you don't mind!?), back to the Philippines (yes that is technically work, but we will have our annual 'team bonding' weekend at a fabulous resort) and even an indulgent week planned in a Bali villa in December with great friends- it will all be a very welcome break from the long hours I'm doing at work at the moment.
Biggest nightmare is the holiday wardrobe - eeks. Especially trying to think beach/summer etc when I'm currently here in trackie pants by the fire.... That and many failed attempts to do the dukan diet in an attempt to look half acceptable while on holidays....
Which brings me to these gorgeous things. How pretty are they? The perfect Holiday Wardrobe!!! The New York is a must, along with the Union Jack. And Paris? Yes please. Pffft, who am I kidding, just get a round the world ticket.... Stunning pieces of art handmade with vintage paper maps.
Now available from paper room - my favourite go to for awesome wallpaper. I purchased my caviar wallpaper from paper room and they were just fabulous to deal with. See Anne Wilson's dresses here, along with their extensive range of wallpaper = LOVE.

She is going to kill me for this but?....meh. One of my nearest and dearest used to keep this blog. I keep it on the blog roll in the hope that one day I will log in and see it at the top of the list because she has posted.... she has promised me one day the tres dodgeois will return. Can't wait.
But in the meantime, the next best thing - her pinterest boards. Damn Pip is good - she has the most awesome eye and yes, I also love it because there is a "kimberlaleelike" board (that's Pip talk for a board of stuff that i would like - and my goodness she knows me better than myself).
If you are looking for awesome pins - look no further (thanks Pip....) *mwah*

Lots to work through at the moment, bit daunting really - nothing a spot of trawling the web for pretties can't help me put off for the evening...... One of my favourite places to visit is matchbook mag tumblr. This pic is from a 1952 issue of Life Magazine. Happy Weekend to you x

A gorgeous range of jugs, bowls, tumblers and trays have hit the virtual shelves of Brown Button Trading. The colour range is so much fun - see them all here.

Whoops - there went another week.... I seriously can't keep up.
Hope it was a good one for you.
My plans for the bedroom @ the SFC are starting to come together.
Excited I am.
I'll share more once finalised but I can say I'll be using one of Anna's wallpaper designs - whoop!
A weekend of pottering, packing parcels for the shop, entertaining, introducing, brunching, welcoming home and even a bit of time in at the office. Ok, best start - it will be Monday morning before I know it! xox

I love connecting with people via the blog, especially because you clearly are going to share the same interests. Earlier in the week I got an awesome email from Elizabeth Rowe about THE Chuck Bass (aka Ed Westwick) and a great blog interview on the gorgeous man himself. Elizabeth and I share a mutual friend and I recall meeting her at said mutual friends 21st birthday party (I must have a good memory, that is some time ago now unfortunately....) - Elizabeth and I got 'chatting' via email and she has the-most-beautiful blog, Squeak and Squirrel. Living in the Adelaide Hills with her daughter she puts to use her journalism skills as she share their adventures and her children's clothing project. As well as her beautifully worded posts are her stunning photographs - i've managed to share just a few of my favourites above. I admire (and am incredibly envious!) of bloggers who share original images on their blog - Elizabeth is no exception. Thank you so much for getting in touch Elizabeth, I love Squeak and Squirrel - once again, more fabulousness coming out of our little SA great state! xox

It's hard to remember life B.C.B (Before Chuck Bass), and its only been two weeks.......
This 'chuck-inator' is a delight to come home to, and once I'm home he is my constant shadow. I shouldn't complain, it is quite lovely.......
but gosh he is a cheeky rascal! - look at this.... 'butter wouldn't melt... check out that little head tilt' (photo taken after I'd given up eating my steak and veggies at the table and had to resort to standing up at the kitchen bench - chuck? i don't share my dinner.... with anyone)
The usual quite nights in front of the TV with the laptop may have gone..... Chuck wants in on the action.
And when I do get five seconds to myself, I start to worry. Where and what is he doing?? - FOUND, in the pepsi max box in the kitchen. Note all I had done was opened the top flap of the box to get a can out, and he has squished himself in there. Hilarious. (good to see he loves pepsi max as much as I do)
I've attempted to keep the bathroom off limits, I caught him head first in the toilet the other day - um hello, I thought cats didn't like water? Brushing my teeth before bed last night, running around trying to do stuff at the same time. I seriously had turned my back for five seconds and look what i returned to. Awesome Chuck, awesome.....
But goodness me, I love this little fur muffin. And I think we are finally starting to understand each other. I need to be home at a decent time to keep him occupied (which can only be good for me as well!). And as I type, I think we have reached a compromise - he doesn't need to be on or under the laptop, we can sit here together and everyone is happy x

Love, love, loving the latest album by Temper Trap. I still listen to their first album alot as well. I'm no 'muso' but I think this album has a different sound to the first - many of the songs sound very Coldplay and U2 to me - awesome. My favourites? - Track One "Need your Love",Track 3 "Trembling Hands", Track 11 "I'm Gonna Wait". Album cover is pretty cool as well.

Yes that is right folks- for the month of July i'm refraining from drinking..... all in the name of charity.
I enjoyed celebrating the end of the financial year on Friday night with my fellow accountants - and after a few too many champagnes celebrating the 'end of the year' and my promotion (I'm General Manager of the firm I work for now - eeks!), Dry July couldn't come any sooner.
I'm not going to lie, this is going to be VERY hard for me - but i'm determined to prove to myself and others that I can do it, and raise some money for adults living with cancer. A very incredible man I knew just lost his long battle with cancer and I can't think of a better way to honour his memory than participating in Dry July (I can actually hear him now - 'bloody hell Kimberlee, like you could go a day without a drink!")
So get involved yourself, or make a donation to my efforts via this LINK, and wish me luck, I"ll be needing it!? x
