Travelling back in time

Time traveler's wife is still my favourite book - was disappointed by the movie when I first saw it - but I'm sitting here tonight watching it on TV and I'm loving it so much more (ok, i'm a blubbering mess actually) - i didn't remember how fabulous the wedding reception and 'first wedding dance' scene was. Perfect reception set up, not sure I could risk it when you can't guarantee the weather though...
And their house?? perfect.
Fabulous rustic kitchen.
So, time to 'fess up - what are you favourite movie weddings and homes? - there are the stock standards, you know - Father of the bride wedding, Somethings gotta give house. Any others?

Time traveller's wife is my favourite book too, and I love the movie. I love all the big American houses, so pretty much any American movie does it for me, lol! I particularly remember the ones in Parent Trap, Home Alone and Ferris Bueller's Day off. xx

I was watching it too, and started blubbering towards the end. It was a lovely film.

I love time travellers wife too, but wasn't as keen on the movie. I think I need to watch it again though because I don't remember any of that beautiful scenery! I have to say though, I'm so glad they cast Rachel McAdams - she is so perfect for that role :)

My favorite movie home is from "It's Complicated." That kitchen, the bathroom, the exterior. Just amazing. And so perfectly decorated.

"Nights in Rodanthe". The location of that house is just spectacular!

The cottage from The Holiday is one of my faves, love THE wedding from Father of the Bride. I could go on for hours . . .

Usually I am very skeptical of books turned movies, but I really enjoyed this film. The actor who played Henry was just as I envisioned him while reading.

Just saw Rachel McAdams in The Vow and that wedding scene was rather gorgeous ... not that I could ever pull it off as I'm such a traditionalist!!
