I'm so excited about the royal wedding tonight, but at the same time - so can't wait for it to be over! Seriously, the coverage is ridiculous! Looking forward to watching it over chicken sandwiches and champers with fabulous friends. Have a great weekend x

I really want/need to re do the bathroom at my place. There is a bit of each of the above bathrooms I absolutely love. But i'm also thinking of buying something else and keeping 'the shanty' as a rental - so I don't want to get too excited. I've been meaning to share my 'bathroom' collection for a while. I like the idea of polished concrete floors and white gloss tiles on the wall, gorgeous big shiny silver fittings and white ceramic everything else! Or maybe the gorgeous white hexagonal mosaic tiles on the floor, white subway tiles and then maybe some wallpaper or artwork. Decisions, decisions... maybe I should just finish painting the skirting boards in the kitchen first... arrggh! xx

I hope you have all had a fabulous Easter break. Now - time to think Mother's day people!
I have long been a fan of French Navy, and am now lucky to count Miss French Navy as one of my fabulous friends. She has been incredibly generous and has provided me with the opportunity to give away two box sets of her stationery just in time for Mother's day (a great gift for mum but we won't tell if you decide to keep it for yourself!)
What do you need to do? - Leave a comment telling us a bit about your mum - perhaps your favourite memory, a funny story, why you love her to bits, a recipe she is infamous for.... you get the idea. Make sure you have visited Miss French Navy's gorgeous website and have picked the stationery box set you or your mother would like to receive and include this in your comment.
Miss French Navy and I will pick two winners and announce them here on Tuesday 3 May 2011. You have until the end of Monday 2 May 2011 to enter.
GIVEAWAY HAS CLOSED. - congrats to Shelley and Briar, stationery sets from the gorgeous French Navy are on their way x

One day til the Easter break and I'm super excited for some serious down time. Off to Mintaro in the Clare Valley to spend some turbo relaxing time with Miss Ruby, her bro, parents, grandpa and other god parents - life is good! Too much to do before I go though - another day of work, clean my sloth pit that is supposed to be my home, deal with my incredibly temperamental computer and do an assignment (yes, I'm still studying) - so I'll sign off now and see you next week.
Wishing you a beautiful break with your family and friends xxx
cute little bunny picture source unknown - much to my father's disgust. I know - it should be a bilby. Sorry dad, they just aren't as cute......

Please tell me you just finished watching part 2 of ABC's "Paper Giants - The birth of Cleo"? Awesome television - I thought it was so well cast, I was in the kitchen and could hear the tv and thought they actually had Ita in the mini series but it was Asher Keddie - she perfected the lisp perfectly. I love a good magazine, so seeing the story behind it was so much fun. The fashion? spectacular. What did you think?

A sophisticated kids room - love it. Best bit? the canvas on the wall - the words to "Lucky Star" by Madonna. I want it. "Country Cosmopolitan" - I LOVE this. Emma, can we make the shanty look like this? Now this is outdoor living at its best. I'd even put on a pair of bathers if I could swim here. Have you flipped through the fabulous 300 odd pages of TradHome yet? What are you favourite pages? Do tell!

I'm in the market. The real estate market. Looking for a new little space for myself. I love my 'shanty' don't get me wrong, but its time for something new I think. Oh how fabulous it would be to live in this place - pure heaven. Pulled from the pages of a 2008 issue of Vogue Living...... I'll keep dreaming x

I have just spent an incredibly relaxing yet fun weekend with some fabulous girlfriends, at an equally fabulous beach house. Completed last year, Ali has done the most amazing job of decorating her family's place on the esplanade. Fabulous finds on etsy are found throughout the place, but it was this canvas that especially 'took my fancy' - Purchased from Venus Vintage it is perfect beach house art. I also love this one which is very similar. Prints can be purchased in various sized and on paper or canvas.
A bus scroll documenting the route travelled by the family to get down to Sellicks. Brilliant.
We basically ate, drank and slept our way through the weekend - with lunch at The Current Shed being a highlight. We stopped at Robern Menz on the way home. All the chocolate treats I bought for family and friends for easter seem to be already almost consumed. oops!
Happy week lovelies xx

When walking to work I'm not going to wear 'sneakers with suit'. But my poor ballet flats take an absolute beating in the wet weather - and by the time I am at the office my stockings are saturated and squelching around in my wet shoes. urrrgggh.
(cue the angels) - behold...... the Hunter Curzon. As chic and practical a pair of hunter wellingtons are, they really aren't going to work with the suit. But the ballet flat equivalent will. What a fabulous idea, and so cute as well. Now to decide which colour......image via Australian OK! magazine

Remember my fabulous perrier villemot poster? Well I bought it from Shelley at Galerie Monmartre. If you live in Melbourne go see her this weekend, what a fabulous idea - a french poster flea market. And if you can't get there, 10% off her website? - oui, merci beaucoup!
