Glorious Goop

If you follow Gwyn via Goop you would have already seen this. I spied it over at Bliss......
While in Nashville filming a movie she is living in this fantastic space. My favourite? That. Kitchen. Hey - they are my kitchen stools! So industrial but not too industrial. My favourite bit? the tiles to the ceiling. Heaven.

Hanging with Harry

Mr Harry has definitely grown since you last saw him. A delicious little brother to Ruby (god daughter extraordinaire) he is now almost six months and there is a lot of him to love - check out those chubby legs!

His talents include a mean head of hair (which Hols and I cut for the first time a couple of hours before this shot), holding his head up despite cheeks that honestly must weigh about a kilo each and enjoying the love, kisses and 'pat a cake' songs his big sister Ruby shares with him.

Thanks to my favourite family for a lovely weekend, to Miss Lucy for the catch up Saturday evening - so nice to have you home just when your twin deserts me and moves to India!?, and to "Mummy Clements" for the awesome sponge cake we had for dessert! xx

Groundhog day post.

Here again. The weekend. And I'm not complaining. BRING. IT. ON.
I've realised my blog has turned into me just bitching and moaning about being busy, being thankful the weekend is here and the odd post about my shop. Meh. I'm tired of it and I'm sure you are too. Promise to pull my blogging finger out and bring some more exciting stuff asap. Promise.
Happy Friday lovelies x

Bye Bye Bunny xx

My darling friend Emma leaves for India today.... what an adventure. I've been lucky enough to have her back in Adelaide for the last two months, so I shouldn't be such a spoilt brat and be sulking that she is going. Again. Because she is off to do great things in Vellore on behalf of the CSIRO. And while I'm sure she will be successful in finding better ways to combat cholera in the third world, I'm going to miss pouring over magazines, watching SATC re runs, the Glee Madonna album on permanent repeat and consuming 1.5 litre bottles of pepsi max with her pretty much every night of the week.
God's speed precious, miss you already, love you lots x

Too Cool

No doubt you are familiar with the fabulous work of Robert and Cortney who run their own design business, Sixx Design. I mean wow. But what I love about them the most is a) they have seven (yes SEVEN) children and b) they all have the coolest names. Bellamy, Breaker, Tallulah, Wolfgang, Holleder, Five and Major.
So it only follows that such cool kids have such cool bedrooms....
LOVE this photo by Erwin Olaf
I often wish I was a kid again, and with a bedroom like this, why not!

Four days of 'getting my house in order'. Heaven. And hopefully, finally, get new stock uploaded on the shop and painting the kitchen.... one thing at a time..... x

And voila - the beach house

So if Leona's home in the previous post is the country house, then this would have to be an image from my beach house..... perfect for summer and winter days by the beach..... yes please.

Pretty Pretty

When I'm day dreaming I often ponder a country home. You know, to compliment my beach house and my city home..... I think I would cope quite well if my country home looked like Leona Edmiston's home. I love the over the top floral bedroom - perfect country kitsch. And those gardens? - yum.

Ok. Back to reality and what to do next to my little 'shanty town' unit.... x

What a wonder the weekend is...

I don't know about you, but I live for the weekend. Don't get me wrong, I like my job (albeit a bit stressful at times) but there is nothing better than a sleep in, coffee with friends, pottering around the house and playing 'shop'. Believe me, I would NEVER be one of those people that would keep working if they won the lottery, too many other fun things to do!
This weekend is my ideal. Massive sleep in, coffee at the mary martin bookshop on the parade (Adelaidians, have you been? beautiful food and coffee, sooo not crowded like cibos), a bit of grocery shopping, come home - potter around, read, getting ready for Emma to come around and we are going to do some re arranging of my place (she is the master at this, when we shared a house a zillion years ago together in Nth Adelaide I'd come home from work, walk in the door - have to walk back out and check the number on the letter box to ensure it was actually my house - the WHOLE house would be rearranged - love it!). Sunday more of the same and then 'up the hill' for a lovely arvo with friends. Ok, now I'm just blabbering.....

I'll also be adding a heap of new stock to my shop this weekend, tres exciting.

Have a lovely one and I'll catch you next week x

Catherine Campbell

Lovely, Lovely work by Melbourne based Catherine Campbell. So pretty and I'm thinking a perfect addition to the collection I am creating for one of my new kitchen walls. And so incredibly affordable and available at her etsy store. Now to decide which one....

Happy Mum Day. (and a sneaky pic of the kitchen)

Adelaide has had stunning weather today for families to get together and give thanks for the wonderful women in their lives - the mummy! I had mum and dad around for lunch and then we went out and saw Grandma (90 and showing no signs of slowing down - classic!). My darling sister now resides at Kangaroo Point in Brisbane so I represented the 'kids' today. A simple yet very effective donna hay recipe was cooked and eaten. Proteas (one of mum's fave), perfume (cliche I know, but she doesn't buy it for herself otherwise!) and coconut ice (another favourite) was given. All in my new kitchen. Promise to post more photos of the kitchen makeover soon - once the finishing touches are complete. Mums - hope you had a fabulous day xx

little pic taken in my little new kitchen.

more perfect cabinetry...

swoon. love this. need it. asap. I know, I know.... finish your kitchen first Kimberlee!!!!

A few quick, quiet moments...

Life seems to be packed to the brim at the moment, every moment accounted for. So when I should be cleaning the house or ironing i've snuck on line for a quick look at my fav blogs as it has been too long.

I love this pic of Megan Morton's bedroom from the latest Inside Out mag. I want similar cabinetry around the window in my lounge room. Maybe I should finish the kitchen first....

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend x

Loving these new pretties. x

I love the home of Sophie Baker which features in the latest Madison Magazine. Sophisticated, but I definitely would feel at home in that lounge room. I love all the 'pretties' she has on display - in particular the mint julep cups she has used as vases...... funny that.... guess what has just arrived at BBT central? - pretty pretty silver plated mint julep vases...
