Poh Ling Yeow migrated from Malaysia with her family when she was nine to South Australia. I heart her paintings. Asian with an Australian influence - not something that I would normally be drawn to, but if I was lucky enough to have one of these in my home I'd wake up smiling every day! - Oh, and we have something in common besides both living in Adelaide, she shops at my supermarket, I saw her there last week coming out of the pasta aisle, and the other day I saw Khaw Liew - there as well, he was in the dairy section - The Norwood IGA Supermarket is where its at!

how gorgeous would these look paired with the Australian influenced wall papers from Catherine Martin-Porters??

Hey Miss B,
Did I ever tell you my stalking story with her.
Saw her at the Bath when I was dressed up in commando costume and she asked why i looked like that, so I told her and then was like "I love your work, I just saw it in vogue, you must be soooo excited", (few bevvies under the belt, mind you)so she took my email and phone number on a napkin and said she would add me to her list for openings and stuff.
So, i never got any emails and saw her at the bath again 6 months later and reminded her that i never got the email and gave her all my details again - this time on a bar coaster!
Surprisingly, no email ever came through
