Tweet, tweet.....

I had a fabulous weekend with the girls in Port Elliot celebrating one of the bride's last weekends before her wedding. I also fell in love. With a shop. Called "little bird". Owned by the lovely Kate Harry, her store is a new edition to the beach side town and it is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. A brilliant collection of home wares, textiles, jewellery, children's clothing, art work, toys, skin care and fresh flowers. Sourced from within Australia and overseas it is evident Kate has spent hours and hours researching products to stock. The bit I love the most? - that it isn't the same stuff you are seeing everywhere else. A strong emphasis has been placed on products that are created via environmentally sustainable means, making it incredibly organic and absolutely beautiful. Ok, I'll stop gushing, I'll let you have a little peak yourself now....
The "biscuit bunnies" - I think they are supposed to be for children but these little beauties would be well loved and looked after at my house.
A bunny in a bag.....
I love stationary and these cards are no exception - you could frame them all and display them as art.
The nook of fresh flowers, I love it. Kate said she was running quite low on flowers on Sunday, most had sold on Saturday.....I'm not surprised!
See what I mean, just beautiful - Kate's style is just exquisite. She was lovely enough to talk me through a number of the products she has available in store and I plan to share them with you over the course of this week. Oh, and of course Miss Ruby (the best little god daughter in the world) needed a special something from Little Bird, I'll be sharing that first.....
Kate can be contacted at littlebirdatelliot@bigpond.com - she hopes to eventually set up a website as well, but if you need anymore information or wish to buy something, send her an email - I promise you she will be incredibly delightful and helpful. Oh, and if you are lucky enough to live in my neck of the woods, take a day trip down to Elliot to check out the store in person - you'll love it, I promise. xx
P.S Thanks Kate for letting me photograph your store

What a gorgeous shop! And environmentally friendly? Right up my alley these days! I totally take for granted what we have at our doorstep, I don't get down to that neck of the woods nearly as often as I should - this will encourage me though, I look forward to seeing more xx

What a lovely shop - wish I could visit in person. I love finding places that stock different products and then arrange them so beautifully. Definitely lots of gift ideas there (and for me too!)

Hi there,

Kate from Little Bird sent me your blog as I sell my handmade handbags through her and want to get a shot of them in her store (your first image). Would it be ok to use that photo in my newsletter and credit you?

This is a lovely blog. I was also sent over by Kate and have the same request as Kara! Great to see all the pics of inside the shop, it really does look like a great space and it is nice to see the products (mine is the bag holding the bunny!)
